Great Ape completes second and final airdrop for Fairmoon holders

As per our previous article a little over a month ago (https://greatapecrypto.medium.com/great-ape-community-completes-airdrop-for-fairmoon-holders-33a88f6aac3) we have completed a second airdrop of $GREATAPE to eligible Fairmoon holders.

The Great Ape community pooled funds together in May, only a couple of weeks after the creation of Great Ape, to donate to community members in a struggling project: Fairmoon. Fairmoon was rugged by a harmful scammer, so our community wanted to help out in the little way we can.

In total our community of Great Apes collected 500 million $GREATAPE tokens via donations (0.5% of supply). We airdropped half of these (250 million tokens total) in May to the 414 addresses that submitted their applications and were approved based on eligibility.

The remaining tokens have now been airdropped to addresses that held their original drop of $GREATAPE over the last month. Each address has been airdropped 736,565 $GREATAPE (699,736.75 after the RFI and liquidity fees).

The second and final half of the airdrop is meant to further reward those that have held their tokens. We are hoping that even upon completion of the airdrop that these tokens will be cherished by the beneficiaries as a sign of good faith from the generosity from one Ape to another. The second half of the airdrop has seen a ~22% increase in tokens from the first airdrop by omitting those that have sold their tokens and additionally from the fee share the wallet has accumulated over the duration between the first Airdrop event and the 2nd.

Keep in mind that these tokens were crowdfunded and organized directly from our community for another community and all tokens were donated out of our own pockets.
